Instant Chip and PIN solution from CreditCall

Until CreditCall launched this innovative product, Parking, Kiosk and Vending machine manufacturers had considerable difficulty in accepting Chip and PIN cards as a means of payment – new machines can only be deployed if they are fully Chip and PIN compliant and this entails a costly integration of special software followed by stringent EMV certification testing. Apollo does away with these requirements since it is already fully EMV certified. Three serial ports provide connectivity any EMVCo approved PIN Pad, a GPRS modem and the the host machine’s controller, which issues simple payment request commands to the Apollo.

Jeremy Gumbley, Chief Technical Officer at UK based CreditCall explains, “After talking to many manufacturers in the fast-growing unattended payment terminal market, it was clear that they see huge sales potential if credit and debit card acceptance can be provided. The resources needed to successfully develop, integrate and certify an EMV transaction Kernel are huge, and beyond the reach of many manufacturers. We already had a wealth of experience in EMV software and identified that a simple hardware module, which could be pre-certified, was the preferred solution and would give manufacturers and operators a fast-track route to the deployment of Chip and PIN card payment.”
