InterPark Equips Garages With Electric Car Chargers

With the Addition of Charging Stations, Chicago Parking Facility Leader InterPark Encourages Commuters to Go Green With Electrically Charged Vehicles
Electric car owners now have one more reason to roll into downtown Chicago: conveniently positioned electric chargers in several InterPark garages. Chargers have been installed at the following locations in Chicago: ROW Self Park, at 50 E. Ohio St.; Government Center Self Park, at 181 N. Clark St.; Washington Wells Self Park, at 217 W. Washington St.; Traders Self Park, at 326 S. Wells St.; and Adams/Wabash Self Park, at 17 E. Adams St.

"By making electric car charging stations accessible for more drivers, InterPark is taking the lead in promoting energy efficiency," said Marshall Peck, president of InterPark. "At InterPark, we are committed to promoting clean energy, especially when it comes to vehicles."

InterPark's placement of convenient electric car chargers is a part of the company's broader environmental efforts, which were highlighted recently by a "Green Sweepstakes" contest. During the competition, Chicagoans had the chance to win several environmentally friendly prizes, such as a car lease for a Tesla Roadster and a car lease for a Toyota Prius hybrid.

With innovative measures, such as electric car chargers, energy-efficient lighting and conveniently placed bicycle racks, InterPark aims to provide opportunities for drivers to go green.

InterPark's numerous locations mean electric car-owners have more options for recharging.

"Our 'green' garages are just one part of a bigger push for clean air and a society powered by renewable energy," Peck said. "Our goal is to make the transition as easy as possible for everyday city commuters."
