IT firm takes off following major deal with Peel Airports

Inventive IT Ltd has launched "Altitude", the airport parking pre-booking and pricing system at Liverpool, Robin Hood Doncaster and Durham Tees Valley Airports. Peel Airports Group which owns Liverpool, Robin Hood Doncaster and Durham Tees Valley Airports welcomes over 6 million passengers through their terminals each year, and offer 14,000 parking spaces.
Peel Airports appointed Inventive IT to help them develop a new pre-book and pricing system when its current solution was proving problematic for customers, and as a result, the respective airports where loosing online business to competitors. The airport group, which was taken over by Vancouver Airport Services in June 2010, wanted to be able to offer a clean, simple, effective booking journey to its customers, and allow it to be more creative with pricing and promotions. The Altitude pre-booking system went live at the airports on the 18th March.

John Charnock, Managing Director of Inventive IT, said: "The Altitude system simplifies the process of booking parking and add-ons on-line. The system gives the airport control of distribution and yield through multiple channels and delivers a platform that can really open up direct distribution through 3rd party affiliates and consolidators. We've already started to see financial performance improvements for Peel Airports and fewer enquiries from customers following the implementation of Altitudes self-service capability"

Sammy Patel, Head of Car Parks Business of Peel Airports Ltd, said: "Altitude has significantly enhanced our ability to control pricing and manage consolidator distribution. With our system we are able to easily and clearly differentiate our products online, and ensure conversation remains high through the use of Altitude's 3 step booking process.  Within the first week of introduction we have seen a significant increase in average transaction value by up-selling and cross-selling parking products, in addition to significantly high conversation rates from search to transaction completion.  Importantly, we are now able to yield pricing appropriate to demand.  We are proud to be the launch customer for Altitude and look forward to continuing to work with Inventive to further develop product"
