Johann R. "Chip" Manning, Jr. has joined Central Parking System as senior vice president and general counsel.

Manning most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Wolverine Tube, Inc., a producer of copper and copper-alloy tubing and fabricated products with more than $1.4 billion in revenues.
Manning's appointment follows the resignation of Benjamin F. Parrish, Jr., who served as senior vice president and general counsel for ten years. Parrish left to return to private practice.

"Chip brings a unique combination of experience as a chief executive officer, general counsel and human resources executive to this position," says Emanuel J. Eads, president and chief executive officer.

Nashville-based Central Parking System has offices in all major metropolitan areas in the United States and operates approximately 2,700 parking facilities with 1.3 million spaces.
