Joseph P. Savage, Jr., P.E., Joins Wilbur Smith Associates as Associate-in-Charge of Austin, TX Office

Mr. Savage comes to WSA with 33+ years of experience in transportation planning and engineering with emphasis on physical, political and financial feasibility of proposed facilities and services. He has worked with nearly every mode of transportation including jitney taxis in Caracas, Venezuela; Bus Rapid Transit in Honolulu, HI; streetcars in New Orleans and Portland, OR; autos on freeways, urban arterials, and local streets throughout the Pacific Northwest; and pedestrians, bicyclists and equestrians on streets, trails and greenways. He also developed a national (USA) practice in planning and analysis of passenger, car and truck ferries with an emphasis on demand forecasting and feasibility studies.

Mr. Savage received his B.S. degree in Engineering from Florida State University. He is registered a Professional Engineer in the state of Washington.
