Kapsch TrafficCom appoints Alan P. Allegretto as CEO of US subsidiary
Alan P. Allegretto, a top American executive, will be taking over as head of the Kapsch TrafficCom AG subsidiary presently headquartered in San Diego.
The new Kapsch TrafficCom Inc. CEO has over 30 years of experience in both the public and private sector. He is also considered a US expert in the development and implementation of technology and transportation infrastructure projects.
Previously, Mr. Allegretto, 54, was President, CEO and founder of the GovScience Consulting Group LLC, an international technology and infrastructure consulting firm. Mr. Allegrettos professional career has spanned more than 30 years in leadership positions: he has been heavily involved in the development and implementation of technology and infrastructure programs ranging in size up to US$ 2.5 billion in the public and private sector. These programs focused on turnkey projects and integrated systems for governments and public administration offices, the military, as well as industrial companies in the transport, aviation and commercial industries. Before GovScience, he was Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at TransCore LP. In this position, Mr. Allegretto was responsible for the companys largest business sector with annual sales of more than US$ 180 million.
Mr. Allegretto received his undergraduate academic education in engineering and telecommunications, respectively, at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (Newark College of Engineering) and the College of the Air Force. He also completed graduate studies at the Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton, Ohio in Engineering Management. Mr. Allegretto is a retired U.S. Air Force officer, where he served as a aviator and engineer.
