Kathrein RFID and Tectus Transponder GmbH launch ATEX certified RFID UHF System

The ATEX product range comprises a wide variety of different low-range, mid-range and wide-range antenna types as well as two different reader versions. The Long Range Reader TPF-80-EXT-ETHER is especially suitable for control of up to four external antennas. The antenna-integrated TPF-80-INT-ETHER is suitable for so-called Single Read Points, in order to reduce complex installation of antenna cable.
The units feature an Ethernet port and are equipped with up to four digital inputs and four digital outputs for additional control tasks. The devices are based on the Kathrein RFID Reader Platform and are therefore compatible in terms of functions and software.

The systems, distributed world-wide by the operation Tectus are available as of May 2012.
