100 % Identification with Kathrein AVI Solutions

- Wiesbaden, Germany, EU

Kathrein RFID presented its new technologically advanced ARU4 / RRU4 series RFID long range identification systems at the trade fair "Parking 2013".

The highlight is the new Kathrein RFID antenna technology that enables a safe detection of vehicles with metalized wind screens or installations in a highly reflective environment.

The powerful Windows based configuration software ReaderStart V2.41 supports the user in the easy and safe adjustment of the reading unit to the local environment. The highly flexible system can be adjusted to different software interfaces and protocols using the integrated Linux based 1 GHz intelligence module V2. In order to facilitate the realisation of isolated solutions, the internal 4 GB flash memory can be used for site-specific applications.

The new software module Access Manager V1.0 also allows autonomous operation, even without an available network infrastructure. Powerful programmable digital inputs and outputs allow easy control of external sensors and actuators.
Built-in LED indicators inform about the reading process and can be configured as desired.

The IP65-protected device family operates based on the passive UHF Gen 2 standard and can therefore be operated anywhere in the world.
A variety of different transponders for vehicle identification is available on the market.
