Kraft Construction reaches 90 percent completion on Seminole Hard Rock parking garage
Crews from Kraft Construction Company Inc. have been working around the clock to construct the new parking garage at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Fort Lauderdale, with construction progress reaching 90 percent completion.
The 1 million-square-foot, nine-story precast structure was erected in less than three months and is expected to be complete by mid-December.
The Kraft team has stayed on schedule even while incorporating numerous additions to the parking structure, including a stair and elevator tower for guests accessing the casino and hotel, said Peter Tuffo, Krafts operations manager for the project. The whole team has enjoyed witnessing the progress. Were excited to see the finished product as we hit the final stretch.
The garage adds more than 2,200 parking spaces to the Seminole Hard Rock complex and includes two pedestrian bridges with access to the Seminole Paradise night club, retail and entertainment area, plus escalators and elevators at each end of the structure.
Tuffo said the project will be finished off with Hard Rock music memorabilia along the casino bridge, which connects the second floor of the new garage at the south end to the casino floor at the north end extending over the hotel.
