KSW Microtec further expands presence in EMEA region
KSW Microtec AG, one of the worlds leading suppliers of RFID components, and ARE CON GmbH & Co. KG announced today a sales and business development agreement that aims to expand sales activities for leading edge transponders, especially those targeting smart card manufacturers in the EMEA region.
ARE CON is a consulting firm for smart card manufacturers and a distributor of premium semi-finished smart card products. The collaboration will focus on KSW Microtecs broad range of High Frequency (HF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID inlays and prelaminates for contactless identification applications.
We are proud to announce our partnership with such an experienced team as ARE CON, stated Thomas Hitzer, CEO of KSW Microtec. The companys technical and business understanding of contactless smart card markets provides us a great opportunity to strengthen our presence throughout the whole region.
ARE CON represents companies such as PET foil manufacturers Agfa Materials, high security software developers for card applications Monet+ and AdvanIDe, one of the largest semiconductor distributors in the smart card market.
Innovative products such as the ultra-thin prelaminate Thinlam for contactless ID card and government applications, the eGO dual frequency (HF/UHF) contactless transponder and the contactless payment sticker for mobile phones are an excellent addition to our high quality product portfolio. KSW Microtecs standing as a world leader in RFID technology and innovation offers us the ideal support for our specialized and technologically-oriented sales, guaranteeing a stalwart foundation for continued growth even during challenging times, said Bernhard F. Wernberger, Managing Director at ARE CON.
KSW in cooperation with ARE CON maintains close relationships with its customers in order to provide the highest quality RFID products that best suit the specific environments in which they are used.
To further expand the companys presence in the EMEA region, KSW Microtec has also appointed Birgit Kobbe-Gipper as EMEA Sales Manager. Amongst other responsibilities, she will operate as external EMEA sales force for RFID applications in the Asset Management, Access & Security, ePayment and eTicketing segments.
Customer retention is not an empty phrase. In fact, it needs to be seriously implemented, comments Birgit Kobbe-Gipper. I look forward to working closely with KSWs partners and customers on current and new RFID projects.
