KSW Microtec speeds up at Intertraffic 2008

KSW Microtec AG, a world leading supplier of RFID components, displays its most advanced and high performing RFID inlays for the transportation industry at Intertraffic in Amsterdam from April 1st - 4th 2008.
The companys high and ultra high frequency passive inlays, suitable for a wide range of ticketing applications and secure vehicle identification at high speeds, are ideal for the transportation infrastructure, traffic management, vehicle security and parking sectors.

With a variety of antenna sizes combined with the availability of ISO14443, ISO15693 and ISO18000 chip types, KSW meets all the needs for transportation tickets. Optimized layouts provide the best price/performance ratio on the market. Customers benefit from a reliable and consistently high yield inlay production through proven assembly technologies. In addition, KSWs buffer stock policy for key customers ensures a speedy availability of ticket inlays.

KSW Microtec will also introduce its WindSpeed family of windshield inlays. Users benefit from more accurate vehicle identification and more convenient, efficient and secure access of identified vehicles into a variety of locations and premises. The WindSpeed inlays are ideal for high-speed access to corporate parking lots, high security commercial and industrial areas or gated residential communities. Further applications for WindSpeed inlays are the control of entry and exit gates to automotive services such as toll stations, car rental parks or car washes. WindSpeed inlays are easily attached behind the glass without the need for special mounting material and thus prevent the label from being exposed to harsh weather conditions and manipulation by unauthorized people. The WindSpeed family of inlays offers a wide UHF bandwidth from 868MHz to 915MHz and is based on passive RFID technology. KSWs labels ensure a long reading distance of approximately 5.5 meters at a more reasonable cost compared to the active transponders commonly used.
