Letter from the Chief Executive of De La Rue plc
De La Rue plc has announced that, following our strategic review, we have agreed to sell our Cash Systems division, excluding Cash Processing Solutions (CPS), to The Carlyle Group. Going forward, De La Rue will focus solely on our Security Paper and Print division.
These moves will enable each of our two businesses to develop strongly focused strategies for customers while evolving into new growth areas.
The financial strength of The Carlyle Group in support of the management team of Cash Systems assures us that the business will continue to build on the successful strategy of the last four years to reinvigorate its products, services and capabilities. The business is performing well and has made an excellent start to the new financial year.
The existing Cash Systems management team, with Tracey Graham as CEO, is dedicated to ensuring that the new company continues to specialise on its area of expertise cash management. Cash Systems will continue to work with De La Rue, to develop the innovative security features and sensor detection vital to meet customers needs.
During the period of transition, the leadership of both companies will work to effect a seamless transfer of the business, with no change in the service provided to you as a valued customer.
