Livingstone's levy plans
London Mayor Ken Livingstone has asked Transport for London to conduct research into the possible effects of implementing a workplace levy scheme in the capital.
The Mayor revealed his interest in such schemes in a recent London assembly meeting. It is believed that if the London government were to go ahead with a workplace parking levy on the 120,000 workplace spaces in the city it would involve business exemptions to congestion charging.
