The initial step will be the installation of a Siemens Siespace system and 16 Variable Message Signs along strategic routes in Romford, providing drivers with car park and travel information. Havering is also adopting eMerge, an online mapping tool, developed to enable local authorities to make the data held in Siemens Comet UTMC traffic management system available to the general public over the internet so that they can check which car parks have parking spaces available.
