Lopar 50th town in Croatia with Vip parking service

Vip parking service is available in Lopar on the island of Rab. With this launch, Lopar became the 50th town in Croatia in which parking can be paid by SMS message. Vip parking is the first service of mobile payment, available since November 2001, and its premiere was in Zagreb. Soon after, the service was available in Varaždin and Čakovec, while today it can be used in 47 more towns throughout Croatia - from Baška voda to Vukovar and Županja.

Vipnet was the first to relieve its customers from the nuisance of paying parking with coins, and showed with this innovative service that it monitors and reacts of customers needs in their daily life. The service was developed by Vipnets experts, and it was implemented by operators all over the world.

Customers also recognized the innovativeness and simplicity of the service, and 76 percent of all parking payments in Zagreb is done by SMS message.

Vipnet extended the SMS parking service to public garages by introducing the service called Vip parking garage.
