Metric machine resists oxyacetylene attack

A Metric Aura pay and display parking machine (photo) has resisted an oxyacetylene attack. Raiders tried to break into the machine located in a Stratford-on-Avon car park.  But they were unsuccessful.

Despite leaving a huge scorch mark down the front of the machine, the design of the door and material used in its manufacture prevented the raiders from reaching the cash.
Said Richard Boultbee, Metric Parkings UK Sales Manager:  Fortunately, this kind of attack doesnt happen very often.  But when it does, it is good to know that an attempt to steal money from the machine failed.
The machine has shown it can even stand up to the ferocity of an oxyacetylene attack which is a good test. The machine continued to serve the public following the attack and we have since replaced the door and taken it back to Metric House for further analysis, he added.
