Metric Moves its Parking to Swindon

Metric has moved to a prestigious new facility in the Westmead area of the town which will be home to its range of parking machines.

Phase one of the project involves the move of sales, service, R&D and accounts from Love Lane, Cirencester, where the business has been based since 1991.

Metric, who employ around 200 people in the UK, announce that some employment opportunities will be created following the move.

The second phase follows next spring when the factory moves to Swindon from Herne Bay, Kent, where it has been located for over 45 years.

Said Metric's Managing Director Mr. René Glasmacher: "It is with regret that our facility at Herne Bay is closing".

The two storey, 40,000 sq.ft. plus facility at Swindon has well appointed ground floor conference and training facilities to support Metric's extensive UK customer base as well as its overseas distribution network.

Said Mr. Glasmacher: "The move to Swindon is a key factor in the future plans of Metric. Having all departments under one roof will greatly improve the foundations for future growth.

"Even more important it will enable us to improve our product and the service we provide to customers.

"The new facilities allow for more extensive R&D to develop new products and services which will give us better coverage to meet our customers' requirements".
