Metric Parking: parking machines with dual printers for the Lake Districht

The Lake District National Park Authority has replaced 20 year old parking machines with new models that have dual printers.

The visitor attraction car parks in which the seven new Metric Accent machines have been installed are only small and therefore the dual printers will safeguard revenue.
metric.gifMetric’s Accent machines are the only ones currently available with a twin printer option and it’s the first time the Lake District National Park Authority has chosen this option.

Mr. Guy Huxtable, the Authority’s Retail and Recreation Manager, said the two most common causes of machine failure were coin and printer jams. A dual printer would give the authority protection against one of these possible failures.

"We are hoping the dual printers will more than pay for themselves", he added.

The Lake District National Park Authority’s earlier Metric parking machines, Autoslots, were 20 years old – but still going strong. They were replaced at the end of March.
