Michael Nichols Named EVP at Next Parking
Michael Nichols has been promoted to the position of Executive VP of Parking Operations - Lead Consultant. He previously held the position Vice President, Parking Development.
Nichols joined Next Realty, which maintains an office in McLean, VA, in 2008 and has been instrumental in professionalizing the firm's day-to-day parking business from manager relations to budgeting and internal and external communication.
Next Parking manages the Next portfolio of eight parking facilities totaling more than 3,200 spaces across the country and provides asset management services for 14 facilities containing over 8,150 parking spaces in 9 cities for multiple owners.
Nichols has been actively involved in the ongoing development of the firm's parking consulting practice, and will continue to be responsible for building that practice. Next Parking provides overall operational and management auditing, cash control procedure analysis and technology consulting services to owners and managers on a one-time or ongoing basis, providing enhanced financial returns and customer service.
He is a graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland where he earned a BA in Economics. Nichols is a former Vice President of the Middle Atlantic Parking Association and holds a Certified Parking Facility Manager designation as awarded by the National Parking Association.
