MUC Airport, the new app for air travelers

MUC Airport is the name of the new app now offered by Munich Airport to all owners of smart phones with the Apple iOS operating system. The app, which opens up iPhone access to a wealth of airport information, is available effective immediately as a free download from the App Store. It can be found under "Flughafen München", "Munich Airport" or simply by entering the abbreviation "MUC".

The new app lets users access full details of current arrivals and departures and provides a flight search function for the entire timetable. Users can also set up push notification to receive automatic messages on their iPhone with every change in the status of their flight. This will eliminate the need to make regular checks.

Another feature of the MUC airport app is the myMUC service, which lets users put together a list of favorites, including flights, shops, airlines and much more. The integrated search function gives iPhone users quick access to the full range of airport shopping, dining and service amenities.

A very convenient function is the parking space memory function that helps to locate the user's parked car. In addition, a one-click function opens a display of important phone numbers.

Users can also share any content from the app, for example information on airport shops, via Twitter, Facebook, SMS or e-mail.

The new app will complement Munich Airport's well-established mobile website For more information on the airport's mobile services, visit
