Multi-Authority Contract for VINCI Park

VINCI Park has agreed a 10-year parking management contract with a consortium of three neighbouring Hertfordshire councils, Watford and Dacorum Boroughs and Three Rivers District, covering both on- and off-street parking and 25 controlled parking zones (CPZs).
The contract reflects VINCI Parks success in running a parking contract since 1997, initially for Watford.

Comments Andy Wylie, Cabinet Member responsible for parking at Watford Borough Council: The new contract provides the three councils with economies of scale, ultimately giving our residents better value for money.

The contract incorporates new software, telephony and technological upgrades. These include an interactive voice response (IVR) system for handling telephone PCN payments, online PCN payment, and handheld terminals for beat patrols.

Cash collection will be managed from VINCI Park's nearby dedicated cash collection facility, heightening security and generating economies of scale.

New Contract and Assistant Contract Managers will provide enhanced support. VINCI Park will automatically monitor activity across extended beat patrols, providing monthly client reviews to optimise deployment.

A 25,000 refurbishment of the existing Watford parking shop, with a new frontage and queuing system and counter location, will provide a more open, face-to-face user experience A dedicated terminal will allow self-processing of PCNs for increased speed of payment.
