National Harbor becomes first Park-Assure On Demand user

On Demand is the fully managed version of the Park-Assure electronic access control system for parking equipment which has been proven to increase revenues and reduce operating costs in installations around the world.

National Harbor is a new 300-acre waterfront destination in the Washington, DC area. Set along the Potomac River, National Harbor, a $2.1 billion mixed-use community, includes hotels, restaurants, retail stores, condominiums, a full-service marina, a convention center, and commercial office space. National Harbor has three parking garages that use SKIDATA's Pay-on-Foot machines. The machines were installed and are serviced by Sentry Control Systems.

Sentry advised us that National Harbor wanted the security and reduced operating costs of Park-Assure's electronic access control but wanted the service set up and managed for them says Scott Stefan, VP of Operations for EZ-Apps. This is the added feature of our new Park-Assure On Demand service. We handle all setup and management so that the locks and keys arrive programmed as desired by the customer and ready to. The customer doesn't deal with the web based operating system at all as we look after that for them. If they want to change access rights, or run a report, they just call us and we handle it for them. If at any point the customer wants to manage the system themselves, we can switch them over to a regular Park-Assure user instantaneously.

We are big proponents of Park-Assure for our customers because it protects their parking revenues and reduces their operating costs says Lester Mascon of Sentry. The new 'On Demand' option is a great option for those that don't have the time or the need to manage the system themselves, and makes the most sense for those who don't need to change much after the system is set up.
