National Parking Association, Parking Consultants Council Publish Parking Studies and Zoning Ordnance Books
The National Parking Association and the Parking Consultants Council have published two new reference books, both of which are available for purchase.
'Parking Studies' provides guidelines for the appropriate use of parking studies. It is intended to help decisionmakers gain a clear understanding of when a parking study is appropriate and what questions can be answered by the study. A separate chapter also addresses each broad study type, including the objectives and methodology common to most situations. Data needed to prepare an accurate study is also presented. Each chapter also includes a discussion of the assumptions and resulting accuracy typical of most parking studies.
'Recommended Zoning Ordinance Provisions' serves as a guide for those involved in the planning, design, construction, operation, management or approval of facilities that include off-street parking spaces.
Both publications are available for purchase from the National Parking Association Website.
