New Haven Parcxmart Card Reporting Daily Transaction Growth

“The Parcxmart one card solution for single and multi-space meters, off-street garages, and in participating merchants for small dollar transactions throughout the city is recording daily transactions – new cards, daily reloads, and daily merchant purchasing behavior - from cardholders who enjoy our business model of fast, secure, and convenient citywide usage,” said John Regan CEO of Parcxmart.

The Parcxmart merchant community today of 23 local merchants is projected to grow to 50 merchants by the end of the year providing additional convenient access to the Parcxmart Card. “It is exciting for us to see the merchant profile expand with higher ticket merchants who are now using the card as a VIP incentive card especially in the restaurant sector,” said Regan.

Parcxmart will launch its “Cooler than Cash” loyalty program in New Haven in the first quarter of 2006. This unique offline loyalty application will enable merchants to set their own reward thresholds for consumers who repeatedly shop in their stores. When the consumer wins it is an instant reward at point of sale based upon the software resident in the POS terminal and the chip on the Parcxmart Card™. “This RFM type application on chip was developed in 1993 by our technology partner SmartCentric but never applied to a consumer portfolio such as ours; we are excited about this loyalty program as it makes the Parcxmart Card truly multi-application beyond small dollar payments and provides additional value to our merchant portfolio” said Regan.
