Simple and reliable parking space management is the primary function of parking ticket dispensers. But being theft-proof and having an attractive design are playing an increasingly important role for both public and private customers. Especially in conurbations, automatic parking ticket machines are a target of vandalism and theft as large amounts of money can accumulate in them if they are only emptied once every few days. A strong box, which complies with security level A of the strong box regulation VDMA 24992, can be built into the Sitraffic Sicuro. With this level of security, which is also used for wall safes and gun cabinets, the ticket dispensers are able to withstand the application of large forces in attempts to break them open. Due to the longer emptying intervals, the amount of servicing is reduced, thus lowering the costs compared to conventional ticket machines. Special paintwork also provides protection against graffiti while piezo buttons are a good defense against the use of force.

Communities are placing greater importance on the attractiveness of public spaces. A frequent requirement of urban planners is that technical installations must have an attractive, modern appearance that fits in harmoniously with the urban landscape. Thanks to the slimline shape of the unit, which can be supplied in many different shades and combinations of colors and comes with a solar module that is completely integrated instead of being simply mounted on top, the Sitraffic Sicuro can blend in smoothly with any urban environment.

As regards the technical features, the parking ticket dispenser performs more than the usual functions of standard ticket machines. Large buttons facilitate use in winter for people wearing gloves and for senior citizens. Apart from payment with coins, cards with a magnetic strip, a chip or non-contact technology can be used. The settings of the ticket machines can be altered and transaction data such as credit card charges can be transmitted 24 hours a day by means of data transmission with the mobile radio standards, GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) or GPRS (General Packet Radio Service).
