New website launched
A new UK based web site has been launched to champion the cause of the disabled motorist across the EEC.
EPCD besides proving a wealth of articles and information about disability parking, and also offers an online database of parking card holders inc links to vehicles and drivers associated with those cards.
A range of membership plans also include local authority membership which allows issuing authorities to add cards issued or renewed to assist with online checking.
Member can report abuse which can help in prosecutions of offenders, currently a random affair with occasional "crack downs" by local police authorities.
With some 30 million disability parking cards in Europe there is considerable misuse and abuse of parking spaces which the UK government is also addressing with planned reforms of their Blue Badge program.
At present no standardisation of badge numbering, or online database exists especially of lost and stolen cards, a fact EPCD intends to correct over the coming years.
