Nortek, Inc purchased the video surveillance specialists Aigis Mechtronics
The Home Technology Group of Nortek, Inc, a consortium of home and commercial convenience and security electronics companies lead by Linear LLC,. a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nortek, has added a major new dimension to its already strong security industry presence with the purchase of Aigis Mechtronics.
Aigis, located in Winston-Salem, NC, is a 20-year old company producing a complete line of CCTV equipment. The Aigis product line breaks down into three major categories: video capture (enclosures, integrated camera/housing packages, and pan/tilt/zoom mechanisms); video display (monitors, and flat screen CCTV, displays with built-in cameras); and engineered full-height security turnstiles.
