NPA to Sponsor Financial Benchmarks Survey

The National Parking Association (NPA) is sponsoring a new financial benchmarks survey, to be distributed June 2. NPA has contracted with EConsult of Philadelphia to develop this survey, which will establish a set of industry benchmarks for parking facilities throughout the country.
The survey will be distributed by Reed Group, a market research and consulting firm based in Philadelphia, to a wide variety of NPA members in numerous markets, and will ultimately become an annual survey used to collect data on rates from several different types of parking operations. It will include nationwide information on many sectors of the industry, both on-street and off-street, including center cities, hotels, hospitals, airports, off-airport, meters, etc.

This survey is the beginning of a comprehensive effort by NPA to establish itself as the source for the most accurate and important parking rate data, said Robert Zuritsky, president, Parkway Corporation and survey volunteer leader. We plan to follow up with additional surveys every

If we are to maintain and enhance our status as the voice of the parking industry, we must be the first and last place that people in the industry go to for this kind of data, said Marty Stein, NPA president. We see this as a great new member benefit and something that will prove informative and relevant to all parking industry professionals as well as other businesses and consumers.

This will also help to fulfill another important goal of NPAs new Strategic Plan to raise the visibility of the organization.

NPA plans to announce the results of the survey at its annual convention, to be held Sept. 15-18 at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
