NYC Single-space meters now accept Parking Card

Started mid August, 2005, the Department of Transportation implemented a pilot program which allows the use of NYC Parking Cards in select single space meters in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn.
nycdot.jpgThe Department of Transportation has introduced a new pre-paid card, the NYC Parking Card, which is available in $20 and $50 denominations. This card can be used in all New York City municipal parking fields, all muni-meters, and selected single-space meter locations.

- No more pockets full of coins.

- No trying to change your bills.

- No summonses while looking for change or because the coins you had were not enough.

How to Purchase Cards?

- Mail-in an application with a check.

An application is available by calling 311 or downloading the form. The following application is in PDF format. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you may download it here.

- Use a credit card to make a purchase on-line.

- Purchase at a CityStore location.

NYC Parking Cards are now available at CityStore, the official store of the City of New York, at its Manhattan Municipal Building location, One Centre Street, North Plaza, in lower Manhattan.
NYC Parking Cards are also available at the new CityStore location at the NYC & Company Visitors Information Center, 810 Seventh Avenue.
