Park And Ride Scheme Goes Live With Metric.

Six Metric Accent pay and display machines have been installed for a new park and ride scheme in Norfolk.
metric.gifThe six machines have gone ‘live’ at Sprowston, a new park and ride facility established by Norfolk County Council.
The machines issue a double ticket – one to be displayed in the car and the other to enable the motorist to travel free on the park and ride bus.

The charge is L2.25 before 9.00 am and L2.50 after 9 o’clock.

Norwich City Council is already a major user of Metric machines and has the full Metric ASLAN networked central management system which allows two-way communication between a central computer and pay and display machines.

Seven Metric Accent pay and display machines will be installed when a further park and ride scheme at Harford Bridges opens later in the year.

“We have a very good relationship with Norwich and we were therefore pleased to be able to extend our involvement into park and ride”, said Metric sales executive Martin Channing.
