Chicago O’Hare International Airport Introduces Park Assist’s M4 Smart-Sensor Parking Guidance System

Park Assist has been awarded a contract to install its camera based Parking Guidance system at Chicago O’Hare International Airport’s newest parking garage. O’Hare airport is America’s third and the world’s sixth busiest airport, serving nearly 80 million passengers in 2017.

Park Assist
contracted with Gibson Electric & Technology Solutions to address navigational guidance needs in the garage. The M4 camera-based smart sensor system will be installed on two levels located above the Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CONRAC) as part of a Public Parking Garage at the airport. Gibson chose Park Assist’s leading PGS technology and software to ensure the most effortless parking experience for O’Hare visitors.

O’Hare Airport will also help guide visitors easily to their car upon re-entry into the lot with Park Assist’s Find Your Car™ feature. By simply typing in their license plate number, or at least 3 characters, visitors will be directed to their vehicle’s exact space thanks to Park Assist’s patented M4 camera-based parking guidance system with integrated License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology.

The system also includes Park Assist’s Park Alerts™ software feature in their PGS package in order to effectively monitor space utilization and enforce policies. Park Alerts™ will notify parking management of any parking policy violations by offering either time-based or license plate-based alerts.
