Park Assist’s M4 Smart-Sensor System is Set to Revolutionize Parking at Ward Entertainment Center (WEC)

Park Assist’s M4 Smart-Sensor System is Set to Revolutionize Parking at Ward Entertainment Center (WEC)

Park Assist® has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Ward Entertainment Center’s parking garage. As part of Ward Center Complex, one of the largest mixed-use developments in Honolulu, WEC is the preferred entertainment destination for local residents and visitors alike. Housing a massive movie megaplex, Dave & Busters and many renowned eateries, WEC caters to a vast number of patrons. Eager to accommodate high occupancy rates and ease traffic circulation, Ward Village selected Park Assist to install its M4 camera-based, smart-sensor PGS at this site’s two-level parking facility.

Upon entering the Ward Entertainment Center garage, visitors will be seamlessly guided to open spaces with Park Assist’s color-coded smart-sensors, decreasing parking spot search times and increasing customer satisfaction. In addition to the M4 smart-sensor system, the new parking solution will include two unique software add-ons, Park FinderTM and Park AlertsTM, which both utilize Park Assist’s integrated License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology.

Park Assist’s breakthrough Park Finder API ensures that WEC visitors will be able to easily pinpoint their vehicle upon re-entering the garage. The Find Your CarTM vehicle locator allows each customer to enter their license plate number through an enabled pay station, touchscreen kiosk, or smartphone app. The system then searches its database of vehicles to find and direct customers to the correct car. This advanced-technology extension is an invaluable guidance feature, creating a superior parking experience. By easing unnecessary stress and limiting wasted time this module increases the likelihood that visitors will wish to return.

Additionally, WEC will use Park Assist’s Park Alerts software extension to enforce parking policies and control user groups within the garage without creating physical barriers. WEC’s garage management will be able to set and implement automated rules and alerts such as unwanted visitors, VIP/repeat parkers, designated staff spaces, and time-limited parking. These time and license-plate-based alerts will immediately notify parking management so they can take the appropriate action. This system will serve to regulate usage and improve the security within the facility.

Park Assist is thrilled to be working with Ward Village again on this new installation. We look forward to complementing Ward Entertainment Center’s already amazing customer experience with effortless parking through our state-of-the art technology.” – Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

Prior to WEC, Park Assist successfully installed the M4 PGS at the Ae’o Ward Village complex. This was the first site in Honolulu to employ camera-based, single-space parking guidance. Following the success and exemplary customer feedback at Ae’o, Ward Village elected to install Park Assist’s M4 system at WEC.

Site work began in October and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
