Parkway Corporation Unveils Park Assist Technology at Liberty Place Parking Garage

Parkway Corporation recently announced that it installed a new, camera-based parking system developed by Park Assist at its Liberty Place parking garage in Center City Philadelphia.

The Park Assist system enhances the parking experience by making it easier and more efficient for drivers to find vacant spaces and by providing an interactive “Find Your Car” feature that locates vehicles by license plate number. Parkway Corporation has outfitted the Liberty Place garage with over 400 Park Assist cameras. The real-time sensor network detects the presence of vehicles in each parking space and directs customers to vacant spaces using red, green and blue (for handicap spaces) LED indicators above each space. Drivers entering the parking structure are instantly made aware of the number of available parking spots on each level via electronic message boards.

Customers can utilize the “Find Your Car” feature by entering their license plate number on the touchscreen kiosk located in the Liberty Place mall lobby or by using a free app from Park Assist that they can download on their smart phone.
