2013 Paid Parking Season Begins April 1 in Downtown Plymouth

Park Plymouth Reminds the Public that the Paid Parking Season Begins April 1 in the Waterfront & Downtown Plymouth Areas.

- Plymouth, Massachusetts, US

Park Plymouth is ramping up for the 2013 paid parking season, which begins April 1. Whether parking is metered, pay-‐by-‐space, time-‐limited, free or reserved only for handicap use, there are many convenient places for you to park your vehicle in downtown Plymouth. Parking areas are conveniently located within walking distance of all downtown attractions, and parking is enforced every day of the week, including holidays, from 9am to 7pm.

Paid parking lots employ Luke II Pay Stations, which accept MasterCard & Visa debit/credit cards, and US coins and bills. If using cash you must use exact amounts because the machines do not give change. Pay stations also employ Extend-‐Time-‐By Cell technology, which gives customers the option to provide a mobile phone number and receive a text message reminder when a parking session is about to expire. They may add time to parking by simply replying to the reminder with the amount of additional time needed to park. Extend-‐Time-‐ By-‐Cell is simple to use, does not require the end user to set up any type of user account and is compatible with virtually all mobile phones. Lots along the waterfront employ Pay-‐By-‐Cell technology, and iPhone, Android, Windows 7, and Blackberry users who park in these locations and have a “Parkmobile” app installed on their phones may pay to park without even touching a pay station.ParkMobile

To use the pay-‐by-‐cell feature, customers simply download the Parkmobile app to their cell phones, or log into the parkmobile.com website, and register their user account information. This free account allows customers to pay to park with their registered mobile ph ne immediately, and the download and free registration only takes a few minutes. Customers may also pay-‐by-‐ cell via the Parkmobile website, QR code, or call toll free, 1-‐877-‐727-‐ 5717.

User account options include the ability to receive text message alerts and reminders for when parking is set to expire, and parking receipts are stored in your personal file every time you pay for parking. Customers will pay an additional charge of .35 cents per transaction to use the service.

Visit the Park Plymouth website to download the app and discover Pay-‐By-‐Cell lot locations. Parking all along the waterfront and in waterfront lots
cost $.50 cents an hour until Memorial Day, when the meter rate in those areas will increase to $1.00 an hour.

Meters located in the upper regions of town cost $.50 cents an hour throughout the entire season, and now accept both MasterCard & Visa debit/credit cards and US coins. Anyone having trouble with pay stations or meters should immediately call the Park Plymouth office at 508.747.5929 for assistance.
