PARK2GO Receives Automated Valet Makeover
New service means faster check in with Valet Boarding Pass.
More than a year after it started operations as Calgary International Airports only offsite valet parking and shuttle service, PARK2GO has completely upgraded its service. It is the first Canadian company to install AVPM, a state-of-the-art valet parking system. AVPM tracks, monitors, controls and manages; valet keys, vehicles, tickets and employees - all in one system. In the process, PARK2GO General Manager George Garcia believes this award winning application gives his company a significant competitive advantage.
This past Christmas we were literally overwhelmed with customers at the same time that we experienced bitterly cold weather and record snow fall. As a result of this experience, we realized that it was time to upgrade PARK2GOs system so that we could easily handle unforeseen surges in demand and to accommodate our future growth. After thoroughly researching the marketplace, Garcia selected AVPM, a Florida-based company whose applications captured the 2007 Best Technology Award at the National Parking Association Trade Show. AVPM also captured an Honorable Mention in the Innovative Parking Solution category at the 2009 International Parking Institute Awards of Excellence.
The new technology allows PARK2GO to be more nimble and keep a step ahead of our demanding customers who value technology and fast check-ins and check-outs. The strategy is also in keeping with our commitment to provide friendly service, quick delivery and security for our customers vehicles while they travel.
Garcia adds, Our total system makeover gives PARK2GO an unbeatable competitive edge. As an example, our online reservations system with mobile PDA check-in that includes bar code recognition and credit card swipe interfacing means faster, hassle-free check-ins. Meanwhile our digital camera technology ensures accurate vehicle identification and protection. The new system also helps us in other ways by providing protection against employee clerical and operational errors and fraudulent damage claims. Its pretty amazing technology to be able the monitor the comings and goings of cars, keys, and employees all under one roof at one of North Americas busiest airports.
