In 2013, Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) and Limerick School of Art & Design (LSAD) became the first college campuses in Ireland to introduce parkbytext™, Ireland’s leading mobile parking operator. This has been a major success for the college and its students, who have benefited with savings of 33%* compared to daily parking charges. 25% of all parking transactions in the Limerick Institute of Technology have been completed using parkbytext™, and there has been over 300 new registrations for the service.
Recent figures show that 50% of LIT customers are choosing to pay for their parking through the parkbytext™ App; with 21% of customers choosing to send a text; 28% of customers paid for parking through the website; and 1% paying through the call centre (0818 444999). With a greater number of students commuting to college and increased usage of smart phones, parkbytext™ plays a crucial role in offering students cost-savings for parking by registering on www.parkbytext.ie.
