parkbytext™, Ireland’s leading mobile parking operator, has officially launched parkbytext™ 2Bill, a new mobile parking payments service that enables payments to be taken directly from customers’ mobile phone bill or pre-pay credit. This is a first in the European parking sector and offers customers another way of parking with greater convenience and ease.
Customers can pay for parking by texting the parkbytext™ number, in the same way they would text to donate to a charity. Users don’t need to register an account as the parking charge is conveniently deducted from their phone credit or added to their phone bill.
Using the parkbytext™ 2Bill service, unregistered and registered users can pay for parking through their mobile phone. The new service was launched in Iarnród Éireann’s Connolly & Heuston Stations (Dublin), Kent Station (Cork) and Ceannt Station (Galway) car park facilities last week. 2Bill recorded its most successful day on a Saturday with a 19% of parkbytext customers choosing this new method of payment. The average uptake since launch is 8%.Customers can alternatively pay for parking by registering on the company’s website and pay for their parking by text, app, online or phone.
