Building on the recent announcement that ParkCloud now holds on-site parking partnerships with Italy’s top five airports, the European online parking reservation leader has further expanded its growth within the Italian airport network with the addition of Italy’s ninth* largest airport - Palermo.
The newly agreed contract will enable ParkCloud to offer its 3 million registered users the option of reserving their parking at two of Palermo Airport's on-site parking facilities.
Drivers parking up at both P1 and P2 car parks will now be able to streamline their travel itineraries, with the convenience that pre-booked parking offers, which in turn will enable Palermo Airport to better manage demand, as well benefit from an additional booking stream.
Both car parks are open air, securely monitored and situated directly in front of the terminal building, providing passengers with an accessible route to check-in
ParkCloud’s success across the Italian airport market has been particularly notable over the last 12 months, with its renewed partnership with Turin Airport and a landmark deal with SEA Milan Airports bolstering its inventory of 28 Italian airports.
ParkCloud’s Commercial Director, Dr Valentina Moise, said: “It’s important for us as a b2c platform that we continue to expand our network and make further locations available for our customers. Adding popular tourist airports such as Palermo to our inventory enables us to do just that, giving our Italian customers additional options and a more tailored booking experience.
“The Italian market has long-since embraced pre-bookable parking, and as customers continue to demand a more fluid travel experience, we see great potential to further develop services collaboratively with our partner operators in Italy.”
Palermo Airport - known also as Falcone–Borsellino - is located just 35km from Palermo, the capital city of the popular tourist island of Sicily.
ParkCloud, simply put, lets drivers book a parking space in advance, in the same way as it’s possible to do with hotel rooms, restaurant tables…and even a coffee these days.
When traveling, parking is usually the last thing on anybody’s mind, but research shows that as much as 20 minutes is wasted when searching for a parking space. ParkCloud aims to solve that problem by letting customers make a parking booking, whether they are getting on a plane, taking a cruise, catching a train, or visiting a city or event.
ParkCloud was founded in 2008 as an online parking reservation service and within the 10 years, we’ve been operating our success and growth has been rapid.
Today we are an award-winning, global provider, working with car park operators across 42 countries to include them on our comparison search engine, which aims to give consumers the most user-friendly, efficient service possible when they need it most.
This bookable parking network is also made available to travel industry partners to help complete the itineraries of passengers worldwide.
