Charleroi Airport’s partnership with online reservations provider ParkCloud has proved a massive success since launch last summer. More than 90,000 days of parking have been sold at the airport’s low-cost parking service, prompting the number of spaces available to be more than doubled.
Since launch, overwhelming demand for pre-booked spaces has led to Brussels South Charleroi Airport (BSCA) relocating the low-cost facility from the old terminal building to the larger and closer P3 area, in advance of the high season.
Originally launched in summer 2013, the low cost parking service from BSCA targets customers looking for cheaper parking options, without compromising on quality and security. Pre-booking was a key aspect of the airport’s new parking offer, and ParkCloud was able to provide an easy-to-use system.
Within a few months, the stream of bookings generated by ParkCloud for the service exceeded capacity, and plans were set in motion to increase availability, opening the floodgates on the P3 car park earlier this year.
ParkCloud has multiple sales channels available, including its partnerships with airlines Ryanair and Wizz Air, its own reservation platforms and a tailored booking engine on the airport’s own website. Furthermore, marketing activity is conducted in English, French, Dutch and German, to cater to the multi-lingual Belgian customer base.
900 low-cost parking spaces are now available in the P3 car park, compared to just 400 offered in 2013. Despite the new car park being more than 2km closer to the main airport terminal, the same low-cost prices are on offer, which coupled with online reservations from ParkCloud, continues to not only generate a torrent of bookings but also a smooth and stress-free experience for customers.
ParkCloud, founded in 2008, is an award-winning, global provider of car park reservation systems and online marketing services, specialising in creating traffic and generating revenue from parking.
