PARKEN 2019: E-mobility and Cashless Payment Brought to Life

PARKEN 2019: E-mobility and Cashless Payment Brought to Life - Mesago/Tanja Isecke

PARKEN, Germany's only exhibition and parallel conference covering the entire spectrum of the parking industry, will be presenting numerous innovations and trends currently moving the industry in Wiesbaden from 5 to 6 June 2019. Among other things, visitors will be able to find out about the latest solutions in the areas of cashless payment and e-mobility in addition to classic parking space equipment.

Exhibition Topics Cover The Entire Spectrum of the Industry

At PARKEN, more than 100 exhibitors are set to present their innovative products and services for the planning, construction and operation of stationary traffic facilities. At Germany's industry meeting point, operators of parking facilities, specialists and managers as well as service providers are able to meet personally with suppliers to exchange information on current topics in this fast-growing sector, which has a great impact on the everyday lives of many people in society, and to actively shape the future.

How E-Vehicles Recharge Their Batteries

The latest e-mobility products are supplied, for example, by RTB GmbH & Co. KG from Bad Lippspringe, which develops and markets innovative solutions for road traffic. Among other things, the company will show how companies can retrofit their car parks to meet the requirements of employees with electric vehicles at charging points.

Technical director, graduate engineer Christian Ehring, explains how companies can become charge point operators: "Especially in staff car parks, the number of charging points is growing day by day. More and more companies feel obliged to offer solutions for their employees. With a destination charger at their workplace, the employer first becomes the charge point operator (CPO) and the e-mobility service provider (EMSP). These two roles must be filled with life by working together with established CPO and EMSP service providers or by using innovative platforms for such service providers."

Finding and Paying For Parking Spaces Via Apps

Visitors to PARKEN 2019 who are interested in cashless payment can find out more at EasyPark. The company helps car drivers to find and pay for parking spaces. Nico Schlegel, EasyPark Managing Director Germany & Austria, sums up the advantages: "Our app makes it possible in more and more cities to make parking more flexible and individual, because no change is needed and the customer can flexibly determine his individual parking time. In addition, parking search traffic and the resulting exhaust gas pollution can be reduced by helping citizens to find free parking spaces. This creates transparency regarding the search time and possible alternatives".
