City Parking Group and Parkeon pursue partnership in Lodz, Poland

City Parking Group has worked closely with Parkeon to meet mandatory deadlines for the delivery of 220 brand new Strada parking terminals in the City of Lodz.

City Parking Group is the major operator in Poland for on-street parking, but is also a close Parkeon partner in Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The brand new Strada parking terminals have been installed in the University city of Lodz, the third largest city in Poland. 

All the Strada parking terminals are solar powered, equipped with a mobile cashbox and connected via GPRS to the myParkfolio advanced parking management system. Lodz is the first city to use the cartography option available in the easy-to-use, web-based parking management system myParkfolio.

The Strada terminals allow users to pay by bank card thanks to an EMV no CVM bank reader kit. A contactless target has also been installed on the terminals in order to accept VISA/MasterCard chip cards and PayWave/PayPass in a second phase of the project.

The Strada terminals are also equipped with a combination of red and yellow zone indicators, the famous colors of the city.

To meet the mandatory deadlines imposed by the city, both partners did a tremendous job. The 220 units were delivered, installed and commissioned in about 6 weeks thanks to a strong collaboration between City Parking Group and Parkeon on-field teams.
