Validating parking has long been a challenge for owners of multi-space parking meters. Traditionally when using a multi-space meter the customer has to pay in advance for their time.
Cities, Universities, parking operators, and merchants have needed the flexibility to offer customers validated parking. But how can parking get validated in a scenario where you are asked to pay for your parking in advance? Parkeon is now delivering the answer to that problem by offering a discount codes system to its customers.
The Parkeon discount codes system gives clients the ability to offer free or discounted parking based on a special code. Parkeon customers can create their own numeric or alphanumeric codes in Parkeon’s myParkfolio back-office system and send the codes to the end users.
The system allows Parkeon customers to assign codes based on a percentage discount, a dollar amount discount, or based on a specific time amount. The acceptance period of the discount code is a variable parameter and Parkeon customers can specify which meters will honor which codes.
Now merchants can give special discounts to their favorite customers and Universities can provide free parking for a specified time period to VIPs that visit campus. All code use is tracked in myParkfolio so the system is easy to manage.
“This solution really meets a need for our customers, and provides an additional service to the end users, so we are very happy to get this out to the market,” said Sean Renn, Marketing Director at Parkeon.
