For 3 years, the Portuguese capital wanted both to modernize and expand its paid parking lot. The city also wanted to offer its citizens a multimodal solution, allowing payment of parking with VIVA transport card.
Parkeon and its local distributor Resopark met the city representatives several times to clarify their needs and suggest them the most appropriate solutions; installing an extended keyboard, adding banking functionalities or integrating of cloud services.
These constructive discussions have allowed Resopark won the tender last December. 400 new Strada, equipped with an alphanumeric keypad are being deployed in Lisbon, joining the 600 Strada already in place and opening upgrade opportunities.
“We continue to work on the deployment of banking solutions with the set-up of a pilot scheme in the coming months” says Erwan Bizien, Parkeon business development engineer.
