Two French cities, Issy-les-Moulineaux and Lyon are testing the new Parkeon solution, T-PAL upgrade kit, on parking terminals. T-PAL upgrade kit allows cities to increase the capabilities of their parking infrastructure by giving it a second life.
With T-PAL, cities can easily upgrade their park to the latest technologies providing new services of parking, urban mobility and citizen’s information whatever the configuration of the Parkeon parking terminal is.
Renowned for its economic dynamism and its taste for new technologies, the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux immediately agreed to participate in beta testing these new upgrade kits.
T-PAL upgrade kit is very easy and quick to install on the current parking terminals reducing the time of unavailability. User-friendly and ergonomic, the T-PAL interface provided with a wide colour screen, encourages payment respect.
The Strada of Issy-les-Moulineaux are already centralized and equipped with banking payment. Thanks to T-PAL, the Strada will quickly become real multi-service kiosks! They can provide new features and new services to users all driven by solar power, such as useful everyday life information, weather forecasts, citymap… or ticketing access to public transport.
A second field beta test of the T-PAL upgrade kit is also taking place in Lyon, on eleven Stelio machines. The city also benefits from this beta-test enabling it to experiment with centralized management, bank payment and also NFC contactless bank payment. With T-PAL, the city can offer flexible individualized services and priviledged parking fees, multiplying the possibilities for the user to identify himself on the kiosk by entering its number plate registration.
Rich of all these innovations, T-PAL participates to the change of public perceptions of paid parking and enhances users support for new parking services.
T-PAL allows cities to make significant cost savings over the long term by giving a second life to their current park with a limited budget.
