Rail PoF success for Parkeon
East Midlands Trains has placed an order with Parkeon for six Varioflex pay-on-foot parking systems.
Existing pay & display equipment is being replaced at Chesterfield, Derby, Kettering, Leicester, Market Harborough and Wellingborough stations.
The new systems control access on a total of 22 entry/exit lanes via Varioflex terminals and barriers. Sixteen automatic and seven manual pay stations, plus ten off-line validators, are being installed to accept both cash and credit/debit card payments and to handle special discounts.
Six servers will manage the installations; processing card payments, generating financial and statistical reports, and monitoring service requirements to optimise revenues and provide users with a reliable and efficient service.
Parkeon also has over 40 P&D machines installed in other East Midlands Trains railway station car parks.
The contract was awarded to Parkeon in accordance with OJEC requirements.
