Successful challenges in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, has selected Parkeon with its Malaysian partner, Godell Parking, as one of the capitals preferred suppliers.
Strada Malaysia.jpgThis award has happened as a result of long term experience in Malaysia, plus the close working relationship with its local partner.

Last year, the city of Kuala Lumpur decided to change its parking meter system in the central business district for a more innovative Pay and Display system. Parkeon started delivering Strada Pay and Display terminals and the city is steadily extending its parking installations.
Today there are about 339 units installed in the streets of one of the most modern capitals in Asia. The Strada communicates via GPRS to a back-office, located at Godell Parking. The intelligent terminals are fitted with a numerical keypad to enter the cars license plate number and print it on the drivers ticket for enforcement purposes.
Parkeon was the first to obtain the Malaysian e-purse certification, called MEPS. This e-purse should be available soon on all Parkeon equipment.

The partnership between Parkeon and Godell Parking began in the late nineties. The installation in Kuala Lumpur follows successful years of Godell Parkings operations in major Selangor cities, like Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya.
Today Godell Parking operates over 1000 units, including the older Parkeon DG range and the brand new Strada.

The growing presence of Parkeon in Malaysia proves that its equipment can perfectly withstand harsh climate conditions, such as humidity, heat and heavy rainfall.
