ParkHelp Brazil corners the shopping mall market: Shopping Flamboyant and Rio Design Barra

ParkHelp, a Barcelona based multinational specializing in mobility solutions in parking facilities, expands into the Brazilian market and in just 6 months has cornered the market of the major shopping mall chains.

The first two projects undertaken by the Brazilian subsidiary are the two emblematic malls at Shopping Flamboyant and Rio Design Barra Shopping.

Rio Design Barra Shopping, one of the most sophisticated malls in Rio, and indeed the whole of Brazil, is the leading shopping center in the city, and especially in the Barra de Tijuca district, which already has more than 10 malls. The solution adopted by ParkHelp for the parking garages is an Indoor system for 603 parking spaces managed by the smart Indoor ParkHelp Plus system, which in addition integrates the 277 spaces in the outdoor lot into the smart ParkHelp system.

Shopping Flamboyant is another trailblazing Brazilian shopping mall. Founded 30 years ago, its business model has made it an icon in the Center-West region. Imitated throughout Brazil, it has installed the Indoor Parkhelp Plus system in 1304 parking spaces on its North and South levels.

These two projects act as a showcase for PARKHELP, which has consolidated its position in the Brazilian market through its subsidiary PARKHELP SOLUÇOES INTELIGENTES PARA ESTACIONAMENTOS, LTDA. A reference for other projects in progress or signed and ready to go in the cities of Recife, Salvador, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

Both malls use the innovative ParkHelp Plus smart guidance system as part of their business strategy which focuses on innovation, customer service and a responsible environmental attitude. This allows customers to find free spaces much more easily, reducing parking time to a third of what they used to need.

Shopping Flamboyant and Rio Design Barra Shopping aim to be trendsetters, and to prove their commitment to bringing the best to customers and citizens they have installed ParkHelp Plus: the most advanced technical and aesthetic solution in the ParkHelp range. Our top-of-the-line solution for top-of-the-line shopping malls. The same technology already installed in major airports and shopping centers around the worlds, including Barcelona and Madrid-Barajas airports with over 9,000 parking spaces. Shopping malls such as La Maquinista in Barcelona, Miraflores in Guatemala, Andares in México, City Stars in Cairo, with a total of almost 200,000 spaces installed around the world.

ParkHelp’s parking guidance technology makes parking quick and easy, guiding drivers from the moment they reach the parking facility by showing them how many free spaces there are on each level, first on LED displays and then with green and red lights above each parking space.

Some of the most important of the many benefits of ParkHelp are:
