The editors and visitors of Parking Network selected Cubic Parking Systems to win the Parking Network Creativity Award 2005. For this 2nd edition, Parking Network also gave their visitors the opportunity to nominate deserving companies.
From the article...Cubic Parking Systems gives cities, municipalities and operators the ability to introduce their own private label cards and applications (loyalty, stored value, electronic permits, electronic vouchers, etc.). More important, its possible to create private applications that reside on contact-less smart cards issued by banks and public transit agencies. By doing this, operators, cities and municipalities get all the benefit and a fraction of the cost as they avoid having to acquire, issue, distribute, and support their own smart card. Cubic Parking Systems is the first to defeat the factors (comprised of operational hurdles and support costs) that have previously impeded the success of smart card programs in the parking industry.
Another reason for winning the Parking Network Creativity Award is the creativity of Cubic Parking Systems. The company brings all aspects of parking operations together on a single technology platform that allows operators to leverage scale economies in infrastructure and support operations heretofore impossible to achieve.
