First Day of the Parking Network Virtual Conference a Resounding Success

The Parking Network Virtual Conference welcomed over 700 attendees on Day 1.

Today, Monday 20th April, marked the successful opening of the inaugural Parking Network Virtual Conference, helping to connect 700 parking professionals worldwide. Organized in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the two-day virtual conference is providing a platform for parking companies, helping them to overcome travel restrictions and reach their target audience around the globe.

Day 1 of the Parking Network Virtual Conference has been a resounding success, with in excess of 700 attendees, featuring parking professionals from both the supply and demand side, including key decision-makers. Interaction and audience engagement remained high throughout the day, with the new polling system being well received and attendees making full use of the opportunity to pose their own questions during live Q&As at the end of each 15-minute session.

Overall, 19 companies took to the virtual stage to showcase their solutions, launch their new products and share their success stories. Both Peazy and Parking Revenue Solutions took to the Start-Up Stage and Virta led a popular Dedicated Hour to share advice on how EV charging can quadruple parking revenue. Touch-free technology, parking guidance, integrated payment solutions, last-mile mobility, and Parking-as-a-Service were just some of the topics covered during the busy first day.

The Parking Talks: Combatting COVID-19 discussion was a particular highlight as captains of the industry, Hans Puvogel (Parkopedia), Eliseo Diaz (FlashParking), Jeff Perkins (ParkMobile), Lester Mascon (IP Parking), Dieme Ketel (Schiphol Group) and Neil Corr (IDeaS Revenue Solutions) shared their insight into the greatest challenge facing the parking industry. Through an innovative polling system, the audience was able to pose the questions they most wanted answering and our industry experts responded with top tips and tricks to overcoming the COVID-19 crisis.

With events and business travel being canceled, postponed and restricted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic we are pleased to be able to give something back to the industry during these challenging times. I would like to thank my team, today’s speakers an all of our attendees, and I look forward to welcoming more speakers, and a new and returning audience tomorrow.

Day 2 of the Parking Network Virtual Conference, taking place tomorrow (Tuesday 21st April) will span European and American working hours. A further 29 companies will hold sessions on a variety of topics, including contactless parking solutions, smart RFID, parking data, solar parking, Software-as-a-Solution, PARCS, LPR and customer experience. And, to wrap up the first edition of our Parking Network Virtual Conference we will be hearing from our strategic sponsors ParkHub, as Geoffrey Byers introduces the audience to Suite, the next generation of business intelligence.
