You can of course pay with coins, bank notes or cards but thats not even all. The modern automat also offers the option to pay with your mobile. This is very easy and convenient for the car driver. The mobile phone is the medium for cashless paying and there is no longer the need to hunt for change. Such as everybody wish for oneself. The driver parks his car. He dials the number displayed on the notice board and enters his parking space information as well as the intended parking duration. The information is sent via SMS directly from the headquarters to the parking meter CITEA. CITEA then prints the relevant parking ticket. The car owner receives a SMS 15 minutes prior to the end of the parking duration informing him that his paid parking duration is coming to an end soon. Effective control: The parking space manager can request online a list with the relevant parking data. He sees which car has exceeded the paid parking duration. The supervisor no longer needs to check every single ticket in every car. This reduces effort and saves lots of time.

It works very easy. The driver drives over the sensor in the middle of the parking space. The sensor notifies the headquarter that a car is now parking in the space. The driver pays the fee for the intended parking duration at the parking meter CITEA.
He does not have to return to the vehicle to position the ticket behind the windscreen. This saves much time. Using his access code, the supervisor can check on the CITEA which parking spaces were paid correctly. The effort for the supervisor is reduced drastically as he only has to check vehicles which were pointed out as having exceeded the paid limit. This offers a range of analysis options in addition to the easy monitoring of the parking spaces. The analysis gives an easy overview of the occupancy frequency of the spaces, i. e. which parking space is occupied how often and for how long. This gives important insight for routing within the parking lot which enables deciding on potential changes for a better use of the space.
